If each router has a built-in CSU/DSU then you don't need to configure a
clock rate on the serial interface. The CSU/DSU will have a RJ-45 interface.
To connect back-to-back on T-1 cross pins 1&2 with 4&5. On the T-1
Controller interface configure one for internal clocking. The other for
line. Thi
Even if you accidentally configured the DTE with the Clock Rate command
instead of the DCE, or for that matter entered No Clock Rate command at all,
I don't think you would see Serial0/0 down, down. It almost sounds like your
using the wrong cables???

have you used
bandwidth 64
statement?
Also in bandwidth statment, it is in kilobits instead of bits.
Let me know how it works.

You can start the troubleshooting from the Physical layer onwards. Ensure
you use the
correct cables - crossover cable instead of back to back.
Then if that if fine, then check the datalink connections.
Then go higher up the stack, to see if you need to add anything in the
configuration.

Hth? well, not really
what, exactly, is a bandwidth statement going to achieve?? would you enable
MultiLink-PPP by adding "bandwidth 128000" to a BRI interface? - well
probably in your case
Oh yeh, and use "show controllers" for determining DCE/DTE
do we really have to put up with yet another
Connect all the routers together? Well if the serials are all going to
remote sites, connect the ethers to a switch/lan segment..

Wow, if you had only put a couple more exclamation marks in your subject
line I may have been inclined to help you.

Hth? well
If you know this, please disregard.
T-1 crossovers, 56k and ethernet crossovers are all different.
I beleive its 1&2 to 4&5 for t-1
1&2 to 7&8 for DDS{56k}, CDDI, and ATM 25 and 155.

Ravi,
Please check the T1 controller first and make sure the line is up.
You can find useful guide for T1 troubleshooting in
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/116/index.html.It has a very good flowchart
for T1 troubleshooting.
There some config you should notice:clocking,line-code,framing and also
uot;
