Diesel engines CAN be fogged. Yanmars are a little frustrating though since they don't have glow plugs (like spark plugs) to remove for fogging. Mine was a real turd to get started the following season and I opt for rolling the engine as often as possible through the winter months. Josh Muckley S

Have to admit that I did it once with our Redwing 35 (C&C 35-1) in South Haven, Michigan.  Something interrupted our normal departure routine.  Pulled the wires out of the boat end.  Came back to the dock and the cable was in the water and still live!  Can't believe it didn't fault the breaker.
