One under /usr/lib/icedove/ for Icedove and the other one in
/usr/lib/xulrunner-[ver]/ for Iceweasel.

Can you confirm (or not confirm :) ) that this bahavior is still around?
There are some other bugs with older versions that shown this behavior.

it's quite some time ago you started this bug.
This bahavior souns like a "classical" crash. The reported version in
your bug is of course now a little bit older. Many new versions between
your reporting date and now are released. So I think this problem maybe
is gone thrue the years.
