Not knowing your classpath, for the i18n failure you describe, I'm
guessing that you generated, then ran with jars but you don't have all
the locale jars - in particular the spanish one (derbyLocale_es.jar) -
in your classpath.

I'm stil learning this harness, but I am pretty sure you can run any
program with a main() that you want from within the test harness, just
by adding the .java file to functionTests/tests. I don't think the
harness has any restrctions on this main() program being multi-threaded
or single-threa

Actually, using the settings from the set*.* scripts are *not*
sufficient for the testing.
The testing is functional testing & for instance assumes you'd run
both embedded and networkserver tests and various locales with the

tried to localize all public classes into the 'jdbc' package and use
only the jdbc package to generate public javadoc. That is one of the
