The plugin works fine for me as well. I'm runing slimserver 6.2.2
February 10 nightly release.
The plugin doesn't really "dim" the display, it turns it completely
off, and this behavior is not controlable by the user. However, it's

Sounds like an excellent idea. I've wasted days and and days trying to
get my squeeze box to communicate flawlessly. I'm not there yet.
I found that anytime the signal strength drops below 60% or god fobid
lower that you will hear drop outs and wose still the squeeze box will
re-boot.

The time passes but the display does not change (even after waiting a

I've been off the air while a build a dedicated slimserver box. It looks
like this issue may be resolved - I downgraded to firmware 28 and
slimserver 6.2.1 5194 and the player is running with a 100% buffer and
playing like a dream.
Just to confirm, I upgraded to the latest nightly and the problem

Are you entering the time in the web UI? One thing I have noticed is
that if you don't enter the time perfectly HH:MM AM|PM then it doesn't
work. Try entering the time using the remote and see if that works.

Thank you for the suggestion ... this did the trick. After removing
slimserversql.db, the initial scan of 584 albums took about 20 minutes
... and the re-scan for new and changed (

That's just some verbose logging of SlimServer looking for metadata
in an incoming radio station stream (song title, etc...)

v2" tags in preferences/standard inputs ... also on the id3v2 preferences

Hang on - I just noticed in your original post you said ADD, whilst in
the recent followup you quoted the manual talking about PLAY. They are
different. ADD works as I described, PLAY has a switch to make it take
the whole album if you want to - look in Server Settings/Behavior/Play

I understand the difference between PLAY and ADD, and
with your suggested server setting the Squeezebox works
as I think it should.
I think the trouble I got into was using PLAY to play (and
add to Now Playing) the first song, but because I hit PLAY
I got all the album's songs added to the playli

I think we need to beware of making any one page too big and unwieldy -
