Success! I went to .MusicMagic, did ls -la, and it returned nothing beyond a "." and a ".." - I suspect these are directories? copied mmm.ini to .MusicMagic using (from the /home/a2/MusicIP/MusicMagicMixer directory) sudo cp mmm.ini ~/.MusicMagic/ checked using ls -la, and it was now there. R

faad just decodes to WAV. Depending on what the user has chosen SC will either leave it as WAV, or use Flac to re-encode to Flac or lame to re-encode into MP3. SC will normally do MOV->Flac as compressed lossless is most efficient use of bandwidth and buffering with no loss of quality If MOV->

1TB, I'm impressed. I've still not broken the 500GB barrier, currently on one external drive, and I think at this point storage availability will always outstrip my ability to fill it. However, back when drives were smaller and more expensive, I had to span my collection across multiple drives.
