I suppose this is obvious to most people, but it is interesting that I can control my bedside BOOM (connected to SN) from the iPeng, even from 100s of miles away. With my iPhone using only the celluar network (no wifi), I can see my BOOM as a player, turn it on, change from headphone to speaker

I've read through this thread and looked at the iPeng website and didn't see any reference to iPeng acting as a player. Can it? Can the iPod Touch play files directly from the server through other means? Things seem to be really moving quite slowly with SqueezePlay working properly on the SBC

This appears to be still broken even in the 7.3.3 nighty builds. I tested on a Squeezebox Classic and the optical output remains active, ignoring the player setting. Since I use an optical splitter (not enough inputs), I need this option to work. I don't understand why the bug access is locked.

Give your desktop PC (the one running SC) a fixed IP address on your network. Then as described above, enter that address just once in a browser on the netbook you use to control SC remotely. Bookmark the address, and then you can go back to it repeatedly without remembering what to type in.
