thanks for the additional info. I'm using now both and i must say i really like the orange integration but also like the the commander layout, sop i ended up using both :) Great app in combination with external speakers to have music in the garden. No need for boombox or whatever.

Hi bluegaspode, following our emails, I have now had the opportunity to test with a connection using port forwarding. I get exactly the same result as with the vpn connection - mp3 is fine, but flac stops at the server as soon as the screen goes off and music stops when the buffers are empty.

Would be interesting to know whether it also uses that when syncing. I don't believe SB3 (which I tested against) uses 3MB and sync between SB3 and Radio was perfect. We were also using a 1MB buffer when I experienced the issues but I believe that was decoded buffer size (but have to check/ask).

The problem with Android Docks is that they are not standardized in any way (unlike with Apple devices) :( Typically they use Bluetooth for the connection, and bluetooth handshakes are very flaky in general (from what I hear). Some docks even provide their own Apps to establish the connection.

I really like the google-esque ui. I generally always use the genres menu to select my next album and its a nice surprise to see the stacked albums similar to google music. I'm excited too watch this controller improve. Squeeze commander has taken a back seat for now. -- Sinkdrain

Why is ogg (vorbis) not supported? As far as I understand this is a native format in android. All other media players in my phone can handle ogg files right away. And so can both my sqeezebox classic and radio. I have all my music in ogg format at the moment. Transcoding to pcmcia might work

There are a number of android based tv boxes coming onto the market. If Squeezeplayer could be installed that would be excellent as they have good audio output. Anyone know whether any of these boxes allow third party apps and whether squeezeplayer can be installed? Random eg follows.

SqueezePlayer does not have an Settings - Advanced - About dialog. I guess you are looking in the menus from the Logitech App (which is at version 1.1.3). SqueezePlayer does not show its version number in the menus, you'd have to look via the Android Settings menu. Settings-Applications-Manage
