This would be a 12 vdc system with something in the range of 100-140
watt panel. Probably two 6 vdc deep cycle batteries.

Contact Elecraft service. I had a similar problem a couple of years
ago. The radio had to go to the factory for diagnosis. We ended up
with a board replacement.

The Signalink needs help. Take a look at K7SFN's Web Site for some
information on what is needed. We did some research and came up with
some mods that make a world of difference.

EXTFSK is only required if a USB-Serial interface is used which doesn't have
an adequate UART implementation to support 45 baud and the 5-bit code. The
Digi International Edgeport/4 and /8 interfaces work fine without EXTFSK.
The microHam interfaces also work fine without the EXTFSK module.

I just recently installed the 2M transverter in my KX-3. I?m now noticing
high (11 to 25) SWR readings on 20m and I wondered if this might be related
(I don?t recall such high readings before). I?m using an off-center fed
dipole that has worked
on
the inductor while doing this. L40 (as I recall) felt pretty tight and I may
have inadvertently pushed it too hard.
What would be the symptoms of an open circuit on either of those inductors?
Other than high SWR on 20m and 30m, I haven’t seen any anomalous behavior.

Seems no PWR setting from 0 up to 100 watts makes any difference. I
only get the WMTR MW screen in the config menu. I can't get to the LP or
HP screens to make any adjustments. Tech Mode is turned on.

When I switch my K3 to the data mode I do not hear any signals. I hear
plenty of PSK in USB on 20 meters and DM780 will decode them when in
USB. When I switch to Data Mode I just get background noise with what
sounds like a very narrow filter setting.

What Don is saying is true. My manual, page 58 shows the factory default as
4800 b. Try resetting it to 38400 using the “config” menu.
You will have to also do the same with your computer. Then try reloading the

I can think of a number of things that could be useful in the band pass window.
In addition to the notch I would have use for an indicator for the receive
offset frequency and also the peak filter. Things could get busy unless things
were set up on a selective basis.

qrn on the band and you turn on the
noise blanker on the K3 the p3 does not reflect that, I also run a LP PAN
with the NAP3 Software and it rocks what I can see due to QRN on the P3 I
can see with the LP Pan and NAP3 software.

and isn't a problem if you are using a coax-fed antenna. I'm not sure how it
would work if you were using a long wire connected directly to the rig that
runs in close proximity to the power supply. But, for my use, this is going

Forget the third item - CW during SSB keying. It works on both inputs. It is my

the temp sensor. The front panel temp sensor appears to
read a normal temp and the fans work properly. Does anyone have any
