full. I argued that the cables were just low voltage signal cables but it
didn't make a difference to this engineer. We ended up using a larger raceway.

EN 55022:2006 does indeed include the limits for radiated emissions in the
range 1 GHz to 6 GHz. Look at section 6.2. This standard is published in
the OJ and becomes compulsory under the EMC Directive as of 1 Oct 2009.

question, if you apply +8kV discharge followed by -8kV discharge, without
removing the charge from the EUT between the discharges, then the actual
potential voltage is 16kV which could very well overstress the product.

IMHO, the margin of compliance should be at least equal to or greater than
the measurement uncertainty. Measurement uncertainty for radiated
emissions is generally in the range of 3 to 4 dB for most labs.
