I think the BBB was popular because of the twp PRUs. These are programmable processors that are separate from the CPU. So you can get very accurate real-time pulses out even with poor latency under Linux. However, this does require programming the PRUs.Machinekit had a HAL unit for the PR

HI I´m Maximiliano and I´m a new member of this list. I am trying to use the LinuxCNC image for the beaglebone black made by Charles Steinkueler with my own hardware to drive the steppers. My drivers accept Enable, Step and Direction Inputs and I need to control three of them. Is there any guide
