BCC is one possibility, forged headers is another.
Short answer: a message has two components: the P1, or envelope, and P2, the
body. For SMTP the addressing in the P1 does not have to match the
addressing in P2. P1 gets the message delivered, P2 is what populates the
message fields.

But if you've got a DMZ.. you've likely got either a tri-homed or back-to-back
firewall. Pushing the Exchange server out onto the DMZ does not make your internal
network any more secure, but does expose your bridgeheads. Plus... if you're going to
stick your Exchange boxes out on the DMZ,
It's possible to setup SMTP masquerading to mask the true domain to reply to messages.

reliability (or perceived reliability) a lot more than spreading your user

I think your problem has nothing to do with the M: drive. It has to do
with the fact that you must have a recipient policy that matches the
user's SMTP address.

Try unchecking the Server Side Scripting add-in on that desktop, if it is
checked.
