packages in the unstable tree aren't compiled and you'll have to compile them
yourself (in the case of KDE that means a LONG time--on my 1GHz Powerbook it
takes about 24 hours). The Xcode installer should be on your disk drive or
you can download from Apple's
I ran into the same issues. Uninstalling libogg built from source
and installing the binary package fixed my problems. A side note,
however: I had to fix the symlink /sw/lib/libogg.dylib to point
from libogg0.5.0.dylib (default as set up by the binary package) to
libogg0.5.2.dylib. Not sure whi

Now that I have KDE working, I have another weird thing happening.
KDE's desktop overlays my Panther's desktop (I should have expected??).

Ran into a similar problem when I tried to reinstall X11 and X11SDK.pkg
Remove the X11.app from utilities
Run find and look for X11SDK.receiptsor just Receipts.
Then try and reinstall X11 and X11SDK

Norman: It looks like your make is not gnumake. You should have
ls -l /usr/bin/make

If it is a symlink to bsdmake, it won't work with many fink packages.
You'll need to change it back to gnumake.
