I had to reload SDR software since I added a larger drive. I kept
thinking my last version I was running was v1.6.3 but the one I just
downloaded is v1.6.2
Am I just imagining that I had loaded?

I seen a few speakers for the SDR listed in the archives. But need a

Just put the SDR on a faster machine P4 2.66ghz. I am using the USB
adapter as I did before. It seems to just disable itself on its own.
This is in the recieve mode.
Any ideas on what to look for?

After having the FLEX-1500 sitting around since winning it at a local
hamfest in July, I am getting around to getting it running.
Being that PSDR is already install for the 5000, how do I add a second radio
(after the fact)?

I have setup my Flex5000a setup for remote operation (kind-of) using Team
Viewer and Skype.
Almost everything is working great other than getting my voice from Skype
through the VAC and into the "radio".
What is working:
- controlling the radio via TeamViewer from the iPad

I'll confirm what Tim is saying as to what I am seeing. Indeed, I am
talking about the buttons that should only appear in PowerSDR when you have
a second physical receiver. Dual VFO's is standard on any Flex radio, to my
knowledge, which is of course different than Dual receivers.

I am not too worried about seeing this second receiver on the screen. It is
a minor annoyance. I'll just wait for the bug fix I suppose. At least the

I'd highly recommend the #31 clamp on kit from DX Engineering as well.
Most of these pre-made cables with unspecified ferrite mixes on them

connecting the radio to a Battery and swapping out the computer's UPS
with different one as well as testing with a power inverter. Obviously I
turned off all power in the house for the test. What looks like RFI
remained.

Yup.. I would be nice if there was an option to put the short-cuts as in
the "alt"or "ctrl" rank. Then, if you want to use both a logger and
short-cut keys the odds of inadvertent frequency change would be greatly
reduced. Or maybe turn short-cut keys off by default so users don't

The issue here is Human Error caused by "focus confusion". (i.e.
inadvertently changing the frequency).
There are currently 4 ways I know to fix this:
1. Reduce the functionality of pSDR by disabling the shortcut keys, I
think most people do this (obviously I'm not sure).
2. Log (n1mm) from
w that the cursor is setting on top of. In XP you need to
download Tweak UI or Power Tools, in Vista it is a Windows Option to
enable. Then maybe use dual screens, this seems to work pretty good.

I use QRZ, Buck..etc lookup all the time from DX Suite of programs.
What is nice is that you can click on a spot, the logger is populated,
DXView is populated and PathFinder is populated and of course the radio
is correctly set. From PathFinder I look up the call on QRZ, or Buck,
or... FCC, o

record and play back locally without the need for PowerSDR at all. I use
this method for adjusting my audio as well as recording those rare DX

I have noted that since I update my 3000 to the new preamps and update to
1.18.3, the NB and NB2 filters don't seem to do very much. Sometimes, it
seems like they do not do anything at all. I looked around and can't see
what this could be. Any suggestions?
