I mentioned that I got the manual printing to work on Windows recently,
I think it was yesterday.
The problem is tools for compiling .tex files were not installed.
I got them from http://www.miktex.org/download and clicked there on
other downloads and got the 64bit net installer.

re: compiling on Windows
I always had to run
ant dist -Dprint.manual.is.up.to.date=true
in order for the installer to compile into a .exe properly.
That was some months ago, so I don't know what if anything has changed.

I read the diff and I was actually thinking of only replacing
the triple dot character with 3 normal dots so as to not disturb
the translations (some wording may look wrong after deleting the dots).
