Actually they allow my daughter to have the incredible opportunity of purchasing the two year old laptop from the school after she has already paid $2000 for a $799 computer at $500 per semester. They she gets a new one and the cycle starts over. They also ban un-approved laptops in the classroom

Apple is indeed going to "start" using Intel processors sometime in 2006. Check Apple's home page. Jobs made that announcement at the WWDC Keynote last Monday. However, there was no word about x86 architecture. Jobs only ever said (purposefully?) Intel processors, conspicuously not mentioning

Check your iTunes preferences and look under iPod (I assume you're running OS X?). Make sure that the box that allows your iPod to be used in disk mode is not checked. Unless, of course you want to keep it in disk mode. If you keep it in disk mode, just unmount it like you would eject a
