There is no "easy" way of repartitioning a drive without risking data
loss. It can be done but I wouldn't recommend it.
Use CCC to copy the data you want and then repartition
#x27;d have to restart & figure out
how far the transfer had gotten. Then the last 6 gigabytes or so
transfered without error!

I would also pull that second 256 MB chip and run it for a good couple
of days and notice if there is a significant difference. Finally
rd PowerBook, aka Lombard. 333MHz overclocked to
433MHz, 512 MB of Kingston RAM (2x256MB), 40 GB Toshiba MK4019GAX hard
drive. Runs hot, but the fan never comes on. A bit slow but very
stable under Jaguar.

It seems that the 30 gig drive needs to be initialized. Boot from your
Panther install CD and run Disk Utility from the Installer menu.
Initialize the drive. If you want to make this drive readable from OS
9 make sure to install the OS 9 driver

preserve all users and groups - that will preserve the /Users folder
