I am encountering a pdf with protected view. The security is password
protection, but I am already password-entered on the site generating the

Mike, thanks for all of your help. I made the changes and still can
not open the file. I wrote to the author and he made a special
unprotected file for me
Here's an URL pertaining more directly to the program:
http://empowermentzone.com/pdf2txt.htm
It's about a 24 Mb download.

I purchased a magic illusion document. It came in pdf format. When I try to
open it I get a protection error that states that the author set security
that can not be accessed. Interesting, my wife can read it on the screen.
Jaws can not get past the protection error even the jaws cursor can not
if you can read it
that way. Remember to escape out of the virtual view or, you won't be able
to open Notepad.
Take care.

Folks, with great delight I was able to take a PDF document that came up as
document empty and for the first time using JAWS plus space bar, tap the letter
O for OCR and then tap the letter D for document and there it was!! The
document converted to text and with great delight I could read it
Robin,
Agreed. I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago while preparing some
documents for a upcoming cruise.
Hats off to FS on this one!
