I've installed Lyx 1.5.1 and JabRef 2.3b (win XP SP1).
When I try to insert a citation from JabRef to LyX document, through the
direct icon "LyX" in JabRef, an error message appears about LyxPipe.
Is the following message (2007-01-01, LyX 1.4.3-5 and JabRef 2.2b) st

ToolsPreferencesPathsLyXServer pipe: Tell LyX where you want it. And
then make sure you enter the same thing into JabRef.

I once succeeded on using the recommended method: insert JabRef bib
file, and then insert Citation,and then I see a very conveninent list
of citations to choose from. However it only works for a while, and I
am not able to see the list of citations any more. Any hints?

sorry for a slightly off-topic question:
I am using jabref for entering references in my lyx file.
Some of the author entrances in the bib-file are embraced by {author} and
listed separately from the non-embraced author entrances, which I do not
want. example:
author1
author3
author4

I would like to either have the embraced entrances treated equally to the
unembraced ones or to remove in an easy way all the {} -signes. Can this
be done in JabRef? I did not find an answer in the JabRef 1.8.1 Handbook
of Wassenhoven.
