Not sure on devices but for laptops it just sets the pixels to black, so the backlight is still running. If you want to save battery you need to use F1 and turn the screen all the way down. All the way down turns the backlight off. Likewise using F5 to turn the keyboard backlight all the way

Hi all, I have now tried two pdf files with the mac's default pdf reader, and it was painful. Vo couldn't properly interact with the text (I had no arrow key reading), and vo-a reads as though words are cut at random places or skipped entirely. I was hoping textedit could help, but no luck.

I am very familiar with NVDA. I have used it as well as Serotek's SATOGO also. But since I expect my windows use to be very light, I will be chosing a much cheaper or even free option once my license for jaws runs out. Let me know about how virtualbox works out. - Original Message -
