IIRC, the 914 uses a Porsche transaxle, but the bellhousings, like most rear/mid-engine Porsche units will match up with all the VW horizontally opposed engines. So, any engine swap kit designed for a VW transaxle should work with a Porsche unit as well. A 914/tdi combo would be pretty enticing.
