8 Hole rims are not on or fitted with rubber. If they are not going to be a
feasible solution, I will just put them back on CL and keep looking

Might be a waste of electrons, but I do not think you would hurt the car. If
it is cold enough to need a block heater, the motor will lose calories to the
air slowly enough that the element will not cook the oil.

The new to me 16" wheels will fit the W124 with not much issue. Grows from a
195/60-15 to a 215/60-16
at least they will look much the same as the 8 holes on the car already

YES! I would like the option of corner thrashing whilst blasting through the
mountain passes in the summer. Lots of twisty parts that so far I have been
unwilling to push the car through. Old rubber that is on the verge of dry rot

SWMBA has her hiyundie-eh? that is used to transport boy #1 to MT for college
in August. We got her new rubber when she got back this fall. Four trips and
three years did the tires in.
I put some schwab rubber on the E300D. They are pretty much garbage.

When I enter the specific car data, the site comes back with no tire capable of
meeting the requirements. Special order, but the Discount boys are not
stocking appropriate rubber online. Not even in Plus 2
