Original Spellbound one sheet for $6.00. Now, of course, it was 1974,
but I also bought Funny Lady with Barbra Streisand at the same time for $6.00
(still worth $6.00). The killer is, the guy had three copies of Spellbound
in the folder, but I was a poor college student and only bought one
I found two folded copies (unused) of the one-sheet advance for ET
(space ship coming through clouds) in the old Cinema Shop in San
Francisco. Bought them for about $30. each. I don't know what they
sell for now but even then (around 1990), that was a good price!

My best was a I walked with a Zombie RR one sheet for 100 dollars
1952... but it's not like any of the other RR's I've ever seen as it has the
exact same art as the original release poster worth thousands...

I picked up a Diamonds Are Forever 1 sheet and a Man With the Golden Gun 1 sheet around 1978 from a second hand book seller for only 2 or 3 bucks each. He had a box of one sheets and I wish I knew what posters I passed over back then that I would have grabbed up now. Rick

I went to antique store in a very small town in Ohio asking for movie
posters. They did not have any but directed to a car body/repair shop down the
road. They heard that the owners found some posters during remodeling. It turns
out that building used to be a movie theater. So I went there

Mine is kinda boring. $150 from a well-known seller for what has turned out to be worth maybe 5 times less. Purchased it 1998 off his web site. Back then, maybe is was worth it. http://www.bigtownfilmposters.us/id433.htm It's still a nice Glenn Ford Universal-International, though.

In my case, I bought two titles at auction that many collectors and dealers
said I overpaid. With one of 'em, it took almost 10 years to be vindicated,
(which BTW, is never the intent of a true collector like me). My defense
Casablanca three sheet, bought for 1 dollar in a large theater find in South
America, and sold two weeks later for 13,500 dollars, but that was back
sixteen years ago...

others in trash being thrown out at an old skin flick house in the mid
