I have gotten the flicker problem when I accidentally open up a second MO71 session on my PC. Two MO71 sessions on the same PC fight with each other. I got 100 QMs in my view, and all 99 remote QMs start flashing red and green (just like Christmas lights!) when I open that second session

Benjamin, try using amqsputc from another machine to get to the mainframe via that new channel you created. If that works, you can focus on why MO71 is not working. If that fails, you know the issue is with any clients talking to the MF, and can eliminate MO71 as the source of the problem
