Well, Well, Well, I found that if I tried Xconfigurator the test screen looks every bit as good as when I did the initial install. Only this time having tried every thing else, I chose to click on yes when it asked if I wanted to boot to the xserver and cancelled the one user logon type thingee.

you might try installing the telnet RPM from your installation CD's. I believe that this will take care of the problem. In rare instances some programs that we think should be installed never make the train when the system is being installed. My workstation at work is a good example if this

I built the machine so I didn't bother to mention that. I was just wondering if it would freak out the kernel or anything. It will be a PIII since that's what my motherboard takes and it takes up to a 1G. It's never bother any of the windows machines I've done it to so I was just checking.
