Linux. The MS site is an IIS server. It is a way for MS to use
a third party to lighten the bandwidth load--having akamai serve
up a cached copy of the Windows Update site.

On starting the computer with XFree 3.x with the edited lilo, it tired to
start X about 3 times then says something about failing. On logging in as
root and startxing, it says
