I found that if I send a reset command to the modem e.g. ATZ0
my USR sportster will connect at 53k. I use Kppp so it is easy to stick
the reset string in the modem tab on the Initialization string field. I
don't know where you would put it outside of KPPP.

clip art? Multilingual support (Cyrillic)? Etc. What happened to that
original edition? Is it still available? I don't see anything about it
on the www.sun.com site. Is it worth bothering with?

The answer, I am embarrassed to say, is simply to close down Netscape
and relaunch it. All of the old URL's disappear and you begin with a new
slate.
