2000-11-17 Per discussione Steve
Hi, Has anybody had any success in getting a Matrox G450 LE (16mb) card working with Mandrake 7.2 and XFree 4? I can't seem to get X working. Harddrake identifies the card as a G400 (which should work fine). When I run 'startx' I just get a blank screen and then the monitor goes into standby.

I have heard those do not work with Linux, I could be wrong.I know SUSE told me in a e-mail I sent them that it does not, I would guess if SUSE does not support it.GOOD LUCK ! Does the 2.4 kernel support it I wonder? - Original Message - From: "G Shaw" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL

I noticed on the AMD web site there are drivers to make Win2K work with an AMD based board - AGP, EIDE, ChipSet, etc... Are such drivers needed for Mandrake 7.2? The new AMD 761 chip set just came out, for the on chip cache vs L2 cache CPU's. That is the type of board I am thinking to get...
