Have you downloaded and installed the latest Proliant Support Pack (8.1 I think)? That's the one stop source for updating everything. Gen4 servers aren't that old though - I can't see why this wouldn't work. Do you have the same problem with 2003 on the same boxes? Have you called HP Proliant

Not sure why they disconnect, but I see it as well. Just a suggestion to relieve user frustration - you can set their VPN dialer to re-dial when disconnected and set the interval it waits. If you set it with a short enough interval, the users may be able to live with it until you figure out why

As far as I am aware subinacl just modifies the ownership attribute, which in turn grants you Creator Owner permissions, so that is the only permissions edit that will be done. I usually combine the take ownership routine with a cacls of Administrators:Full Control down it straight afterwards

We dump all firewall and other configs to a TFTP server so that they can be restored. We don't care about the OS so much as being able to quickly put the correct configuration back in place. DPM is especially nice when using Exchange or SQL. It is very aware of them. TVK -Original
