50mm lens. I am hoping to find one in nice condition for around $10.00 +

Sounds like everything on the MZ-7 plus a few features of the MZ5n/3. Could

just the incentive I needed to wait a while. I do think an LX will be
somewhere in my future since I do enjoy the tactile experience of a manual
camera, but probably not at the moment. When I decide to take

bit unpredictable.

Actually it depends on IMAGE magnification and f-stop - and focal length has nothing
to do with it - except that with longer focal lengths the image magnification tends to
be greater - same with medium format.

Well - DOF scales and tables are based on a circle of confusion (of a point of light)
at film plane - usually 0.03 mm - but 0.02-0.05 mm also used.

I have scanned quite a few slides. The results are pretty good. Contrast
is always an issue. I still find better overall scans from negatives. It
seems easier to add contrast in software than to remove contrast. If you

Use levels and curves.
Set your white point and your black point, either with the levels control or the
curves control, and you can then use curves to adjust the contrast better within the
image. Contrast and Brightness shift EVERTHING - curves

I didn't see that. There was just as much of the guy on the
right side (to my old eyes) in both pictures. Perhaps it was
some sort of a browser error.
