I have chrome copies with 43* serial numbers and a black with 44*. Both have
Pentax on the face of the camera above the lens mount and a small Asahi
engraved on the sloping front portion of the pentaprism. Film holders are
rectangular with Asahi Pentax embossed in the plastic at the bottom.
Since I've had a need to know the metering patterns
for the MX and theLX, and put them up on a web page,
it might be nice to get the metering patterns for
other models as well. So, send me a good copy of a
pattern, or a pointer to a metering pattern, and I'll
make a home for them.

I found a 400mm f5.6 lens in PK-A mount I can have for a song... But
it's got some fungus growth on the 1st internal lens element from the
front. I can't get the front element off to get in there and clean this
sucker, so I am investigating what it'll cost to have the lens cleaned
professionally.

in short, they gave it a 3/3 star rating. Otherwise, it got 5/10 at 28, 7/10
at 50, 5/10 at 90 and again 5/10 at 105mm. Distortion was at around
1% barrel at the 28 and around 0,5% pincushion at longer settings. All
in all, they tested it a little under 3,5-4,5/24-90, for what it is worth.

I just got my Pentax Extension Tube Set B from KEH and have been
playing around with them on my 50mm f/2 SMC-A and 135mm f/3.5
SMC-M lenses. I can get to around 1/2 life size with the 135mm lens
and have over a foot of working room between the front of the lens
and the subject. I can get 1:1 l
using a camera with ttl flash is the easiest way to get good results

I didn't follow your math too closely, but I will give you the
correct formulae for figuring the extension factor as applied to
LF cameras.
First, compute the image magnification (M) by dividing the lens
to subject distance into the lens to film distance, measuring
from the lens aperture position
PhotoShop can help get the red out LOL
