Another difference is that when using manual focus and the matte area, I can compose and focus in any order - using AF I have to lock focus and recompose. I tend to get better composition when not using AF. Doesn't mean you can't, just that my percentage is better with manual focus. Bruce Thu

I got this sample on e-bay, the seller mistook a komura Telemore II in Konaca 'K' mount for a Pentax K mount and sent me this one in exchange with a refund of 90% of the money I paid for it. I think the final cost was a couple of dollars total. Still more than it is worth. It isn't a total loss

Let's say that KAF3 is coming and does support USM. USM lenses are made and sold. OK... so, again, my limited knowledge says that USM puts the AF motor in the lens, and not the body. This means that the screw-drive method for the camera communicating to the lens the focus is useless. Is it then
