Had an ETR in the 80s. Not great, not bad. If you can get the later PE series lenses, as I recall Tamron owned the just shortly before the collapse but improved the lens coatings for better contrst. The E were a bit flat, like the older Mamiya TLR lenses. IIRC, the ETR series uses the same battery

Maybe I miss remember about the body having a focal plane shutter, it was 40+ years ago, but I was pretty sure that he only used the lens shutters for high speed flash.  In which case the the camera was not lifting the mirror all the way because most of those images were only partially exposed.

I've not used CS2 but if it will read DNG files just set your new camera to save your raw files as DNG instead of PEF.  If all you want to do is convert to JPGs or TIFFs, Faststone or Irfanview will do that for you and they're free.  OTOH, the latest version of Photoshop Elements is probably mo

actually, no... though thanks for the thought. I had one years ago... I found it a bit of a PITA..   The flipout with the live viewworked for me with the Canon not just for the studio stuff but outside too.. I just have to figure out how to sell the K5 but not deliver it until I get the K-70
