iPeng currently ignores help strings because originally they were
tailored for the controller and were just plain wrong in iPeng.
Not sure whether this is still true, after all the Touch has a touch

some rare conditions under which iPeng could theoretically
stay alive, especially if you activate the screen saver quickly after
opening the app (within the first 30s).

on the Qnap it's time to add
these artwork files as folder.jpg files to your albums, I'm afraid.
Have a look at the General or Squeezebox Server section of this
forum, IIRC there are tools to add the iTunes artwork to your album
folders automatically.

Well, you could test whether it drains the battery for you, too.
And whether the push notifications have any influence.

That's how it's supposed to be. If you now press All Songs you will
see all songs from all compilation albums grouped by album.
It's not a bug, it's a feature :)
If it's a lot of compilations you even get a nice index bar to
alphabetically switch between albums.

You can use the WiFi icon in the status bar as an indicator. Once WiFi
is up it usually only takes a fraction of a second to connect the
server.

it's cache? That could make for inconsistent data is e.g. the artist
list was already up to date and the albums list was not.

Well, it all depends on MySqueezebox.com's Napster integration.
That's where you'll have to look for issues/fixes.
iPeng can only show what the server delivers since that's all you can
play through the Squeezebox.

Right now, unfortunately, network comms consume so much power that this
really doesn't matter.
Working on it but right now don't expect more than four hours of
playback on an iPod/iPhone.
It's much less of an issue on iPad which has just a so much bigger
battery.

After syncing the iThingy with iTunes they should show up somewhere in
a subfolder of your iTunes folder. They are named iPeng.crash, I
believe.

That's a low memory condition you've got there.
I believe there is only one way I know about to cause this: there has
to be something wrong with artwork scaling.

No, the Receiver does not work with the official Sporify App.
It does work with the 3rd party plugin and both work fine with iPeng.
