What about the sound ?. Other games in my RH 9 Box such as Geki2,

I installed Squirrel Mail a while back (I think from RPM). For it to
work, Sendmail needs to be operating as in IMAP4 not POP3 mode.
Our set up put a file squirrelmail.conf in the /etc/httpd/conf.d
directory. This file then redirects all domain names to SquirrelMail.

You can use quotacheck -m to force quotecheck... I did it on redhat 9
and nothing damage.

Nothing specific, but for general troubleshooting I'd try the following:
1) Change to runlevel 3 (no X) see if that solves it. (su, init 3)
2) Change to single user mode, again, see if that solves it.
If so, try disabling services that interact with your HW. (Say, take

When I do a quotacheck -a I get this:
quotacheck: Quota for users is enabled on mountpoint / so quotacheck might
damage the file.
