I installed redhat 7.2 linux and configured the NIS domain server ,,but i unable to change the domain users password by using that yppasswd .. i get error " Error while changing the nis password. password has not been changed on nis server name "

Does the box work with the stock RedHat SMP i586 kernels?
If so then you may be choosing a combination of config options
that doesn't work well together.

I read the instuctions a thousand times but to no avail. I guess I am
too dumb on html stuff that installing w3mail is out of question.

Are you logging in to your system as root, and then trying to launch X
as a normal user? Why don't you just log in to the system as the normal
user? Can you launch X if you log in as a normal user? You really
should minimize use of the root account. Use it only for system
administration tasks.

I upgraded on of our machines (it handles mail, dial-up, dns, some other
things). I gave it an extra 64Mb ram (now 128) and upped the CPU (was
AMDK6-200 to a K6-233 actually 225 running at 75Mhz bus speed now).
