The green scrubby's often have soap in them or other contaminants.
Polishing the silver would not be necessary in any case, mild soap,
water and three good rinses in distilled after they're "cleaned", a
clean fresh paper towel after

I'd just like to take up the bit about the scrubbing pad. Paper towel is quite
adequate for cleaning the electrodes, a scrubbing pad of any sort not only is
needlessly abrasive but in time will 'roughen' the surface of the silver

gargling. I use a 50/50 dilution. It took a couple of days but it didn't get
