[SLUG] debian dependency woes

depends on xlibs (4.2.0); however xlibs on my system is 4.1.0-16. I'm trying to install XFree86 4.2 how can it be looking for packages that are part of what of I'm trying to install? If I had Xlib 4.2, then surely chances are that I would have 4.2 already installed. Help, please Regards Mick

Hi all, Okay, I know there was a post regarding this but I can't find it in the archives. Working through the debian reference... great guide! I managed to get to the debian security updates by editing my /apt/sources.list. I can't seem to find a way to get XFree updates the same way? Mick
