Just for clarity, squeezelite handles
the setup I described is in the basement. The music room is one floor up
on the main level. The RME analog output x 4 is via balanced cable to
mono amps beside the speakers; the subs are powered, also from balanced
connections from the RME. Two more NUCs are in other rooms with amps and
speakers

Ok, maybe the solution is quite simple: in the iTunes settings in LMS,
please add "Downloaded" to the list of "Ignored playlists". Then re-run
a scan. This should skip the playlist with the 40k tracks, considerably
speeding up the Fulltext Index creation.

is possible. I run LMS (player and server) on a NUC and send the USB
digital audio output to an RME Fireface UFX+ "sound card". This is
connected to a windows computer running AcourateConvolver, and outputs

CJS's post is relevant but AFAIK there are no changes that have affected
Favorites icons.Many station have started using https by default and
it is possible this can cause problems for those specific stations for
users without a local LMS (i.e using mysqeezebox.com) or using an old
LMS.

Hello
Is it possible to get Station Logo to appear on favorite radio streams
in PiCore Player.
I have had them in the past but with the changes they do not appear at
present.

other stations overwrite my logo.png with the antenna logo after a few
seconds. Even changing the antenna logo (radio.png) in the directory to
my logo doesn't fix it, it still gets overwritten after a few seconds,

Give a specific example of the URL you are trying to use and the OPML

LMS can be picky, there can be a number of reason for failure in file
icon file size/format, path , opml file format etc.. Furthermore, once
playing starts, for some station LMS overrides the supplied icon
