Just wanted to post this for reference.
I can confirm that it it possible add a Chumby One to the list of
players on the Touch running TinySB and stream to the Chumby.
It's sort of cool to have the music going and having the Chumby widgets
cycling on the screen. Makes me wonder why we never saw

I called Logitech yesterday and was told that this is a known issue with
Apple Lossless and there will be a fix with the next software update in
a couple of weeks. Evidently there is a beta version of this software
that you can download now, although it will only have limited support

I would do two things at this point, look at the log file and see whats
going on. There are probably messages about what is going on in the log

Most recently I found the ST would get stuck playing the same first 20
sec of a song about 10 times until it finally rebooted itself. This has

Received my Touch about a week ago and am really not happy with it.
After the firmware upgrade, DHCP became very problematic. Finally had
to enter the IP info by hand to get the network working again. That

Yes the Touch can work fine stand alone, once you have done the initial
firmware update.
I think many of the problems people are seeing is caused by the server
going belly up, when this happens it tries to find a server on the
network and gets rather frantic if it can't find a server to connect

The intent here is to have the touch on, the usb drive attached all the

I don't think any coupon will work at the present time, valid or not.
The Logitech website currently lists the Touch as "out of stock." A
customer rep told me this morning that the checkout process does not

For some unknown reason, suddenly the Touch is listing all of the songs,
and albums, on the USB drive connected to it, twice. Only one version of
the song will play, the other will create an error message. Any ideas?

issues with artwork on flac files - more similar to what crazyj is
reporting. I had a mixture of wma-lossless and MP3 files on an
external HDD, but converted all the WMAs to flac -5 to avoid having to

Sleep simply allows you to preselect a time period to turn itself Off.
Like telling your TV to turn off in 30 minutes when you are falling

The inbuilt Touch server is still running in Sleep or Off (both are
Standby).
Standby only suspends the player portion of Touch.
My three other SB players can still fully utilize the inbuilt Touch
server when Touch is in Standby.

You can also control the player from the squeezeboxserver webpage.
Certainly squeezeplay provides a better interface, but if memory usage
is a concern, the webpage is an option.
