Ooops, my bad (again) on the cd issue. Regarding the router it's a broadband router so it is connected directly to the cable modem and internet. The MDK running slimserver (to be hidden away eventually) will be directly wired to the router, and the other MDK machine will be via a wireless connect

Hi. I've reproduced the problem on a Mandriva 10.2 standard install. After installing slimserver (version 6.1.1-1), it crashes at startup with the same error message as you've got. It happens that slimserver cannot load the DBD::SQLite module. That's normal, it is not installed on my computer. So

A couple of things: are you logged in as root? It might help get everything installed if you are. Also, is iptables (the firewall) running? Until you get the other bugs worked out, you might disable it. Also, if you are missing modules, you can try running /usr/local/slimserver/Bin/build-perl
