I recently bought OOo and am not a technical person. I am pretty pleased in
general but since I installed OOo the format for, Hotmail, and Yahoo mail
pages have opened in a format that looks like some underlying platform,
which makes them virtually unreadable. I am also unable to open any pages

yes. although you have to watch for certain settings that might affect
which application suite handles different files. just read the
installation instructions and you'll get it. also check the different
settings of OOo for the default file format for different documents.

seems to have no ability to save in any alternative standard formats. I
try to place the graphic on a slide in Impress and Impress can't even
