side' to 2. Print to pdf (cups-pdf).
I only have Paper and Device, no Job Options.

one the copied pdf printer, change (Make and Model) and select the
option to supply your own PPD. Then use:
/usr/share/ghostscript/8.64/lib/ghostpdf.ppd
and name the printer something like PDFGhost so that you know it is

backgrounds, but how do I get the background to show up in the text area?

Ah... then you won't be able to modify those settings (odd I would have
thought that you could have). Try this instead:
$ system-config-printer
and see if you get the printer configuration wiget.
Kubuntu doesn't come with that exactly, but I was able to install
system-config-printer-gnome
