dictate and I can’t tell whether it really wrote “no” instead of “now” unless I

I think these weird pronunciations are tied to the specific speech synthesizer
in use. Might be wrong, but that's what I think based on observation. I used to
love pronunciation dictionaries. I spent a long time perfecting the one I had
for a speech synthesizer in the K-1 thousand program. Then
actually, there is a point: does voice-over behave in the same way across all
the different English-speaking voices? do they all do the same thing with
regard to abbreviated acronyms? and what about other languages? I haven't
noticed the Italian voice doing this with Italian text, but…
