Dear Maia,
This list has discussed why CS doesn't work and it seems quite well established that CS does not work if it can not get to the offending organism. It seems that if the organism is covered in a layer of fat or mucous or if the area is fairly dry then there is less chance of CS working. So whatever could be used to cut through the mucous and carry the soluton to the pseudomonas may work.

DMSO may overcome these barriers. I have had excellent success using very small amounts of DMSO. In the order of a drop per cup of CS, or CS and H2O2. The ghastly smell is replaced with delightful woody aromas which change constantly.
