Question: if you have to actually boil broccoli or whatever in water and
then toss out the cooking water, why bother? A very large portion if not
virtually all of the water soluble vitamins and minerals are gone down
the drain, making the veg no longer a good source of them. So what is
the point?

So boiling in water helps, I wonder for how long? I love lightly steamed
broccoli with lemon juice, but I don't seem to want it more than once
every couple of weeks.
I don't know how long you need to cook it to get rid of the thyroid-destroying
properties. Everyone needs to gravitate toward their own optimal diet; what's
good for me might not be good for you.
