Hi all,

Since this tends to be a trending topic, I figured I would add my 2 cents
:0) Matt , i would have to disagree with you on the comment below. I can
honestly say the reason I am pursuing the CCIE certification is because I
truly respect it and all it stands for. Ever since I was introduce into
the Routing and Switching Realm, I fell in love with it. Routing and
Switching is my passion and to be considered as being a part of the elite
is a life long dream.

Many people fell to realize that without R/S, many other Cisco
certification paths wouldn't be possilbe. Routing and Switching is the
basis for everything , however, CCIEs in R/S do not get paid as much as
they use to. If I was mainly looking at the money factor, I would probably
go with the Voice track. Now and days you will find that a certified CCVP
with good experience can earn nearly as much as a CCIE in R/S , if not
more.

Regards,

Johnnie
