After all of the verbage on this subject and you still draw this conclusion? Deleting almost anything in type-in-score is not at all "safer" or recommended. God help us if David Fenton follows *this* advice and we have to suffer through another round on this topic. So, in case you've just joined this thread or you've been so involved that you haven't been paying attention: If you must delete a lyric syllable it is "safer" choose "Adjust Syllable" from the Lyric menu ->Dbl click on the note that the lyric is attached to->select lower handle->press delete. If the syllable is part of a hyphenated word, delete the entire word and re-enter it to avoid those orphaned hyphens. Deleting lyric entries this way will remove them from the display only and retain them in the database. Removing lyrics through type-in-score will reorder the lyric data and, as we all are painfully aware by now, can potentially wreak havoc on the lyric assignments throughout one's project. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
