Very simple. I don't speak Spanish. I do, however, have a fairly decent
grasp of the language (I can pretty much get through a transaction or
asking for directions, etc).
Seeing the original Spanish and the translated English coming from someone
typing in Spanish would decrease the chances of my misunderstanding them
because of translation issues significantly. Likewise, when talking to a
spanish speaker with a tenuous grasp of English seeing both my original
text and the translated text would help them decipher exactly what I was
saying.
