Michelle,

For clarification, I did not say *all* AMD processors not did I say *all* Dell
PC's. I did say that there is a known problem involving SP3 with Dell and AMD.
Google will give exact details.

I have an AMD processor with SP3 on XP- AMT Turion 64- and never had any issues
with viewing what is on Ancestry.

If you are having problems with ancestry.com it will help if you state the
brand of processor (intel or amd), the operating system (XP or Vista) and what
service pack you are on. It has already been stated that an amd based computer
with XP SP3 has known issues with ancestry.com and it is not the fault of the
user. It is also worth mentioning which browser and version.

Got this announcement when I finished the email

"Announcing: updating system 6-11-08, may be preventing viewing original
records"

Darlene,

I am having problems as well. I have not done anything to my computer and tried
both browsers IE 7 and Netscape 9. I have sent a message to Ancestry about the
problem.

Hi
I cannot see the images on Ancestry.com, any longer. I had automatic updates
on my Windows XP Service pack two and it downloaded the update with service
pack three. Over the weekend I had all kinds of problenms with My Dell desktop
computer and finally got Dell tech support to help me. I had two viruses while
I had Norton turned off, for 1/2 a day and so the techs reinstalled Windows and
I have service pack 2, now. When I first did searches, at Ancestry.com, last
evening, it accessed the census images fine, but when I tried it today, it
freezes the screen, again! Norton 360 is up and running and I have no threats.
I went into Ancestry image viewer and deleted it, but it made no change in my
access to images. There are probably more files hidden. Can someone please
give me a heads up on what could be the problem? I payed $300 for another year
with Ancestry.com in March and not getting the census images is a real bummer!
Thanks for any and all
 help with this problem!

Darlene
